Com bis de Tiago Azulão (19´ e 26´) e ampliação de Carlinhos (77´), o Petro de Luanda revalidou hoje (sábado), no Lubango, a edição2022/23 da Taça de Angola em futebol, ao vencer Académica do Lobito, por 3-0, em jogo da final, disputado no Estádio Tundavala, na província da Huila.
No intervalo, o também campeão nacional (Girabola2022/23) já detinha a vantagem de duas bolas, numa clara demonstração da sua superioridade e domínio da partida, em que esperava-se por uma réplica do oponente.
Dos dois tentos, embora o segundo seja de penalte, o atacante brasileiro ao serviço dos “tricolores“, Tiago Azulão, põe em evidência a sua veia goleadora, contribuindo decisivamente para o êxito da sua equipa.
Mesmo com os seus 34 anos de idade, o avançado confirmou o seu protagonismo nesta final da Taça, já que havia sido distinguido pela quinta vez como melhor marcador do Campeonato Nacional (Girabola2022/23), com 20 golos.

Da outra parte, os “estudantes” da província de Benguela, que tentaram conquistar o primeiro troféu da sua história, superaram na mesma eliminatória, o Kabuscorp do Palanca da capital do país, do segundo escalão nacional, com bis de Márcio Luvambo.
Apesar da derrota, a equipa da Académica, orientada pelo treinador Agostinho Tramagal, está automaticamente apurada para as eliminatórias da próxima Taça da Confederação Africana, já que o seu adversário disputará o acesso à Liga dos Clubes Campeões do continente.
O Petro de Luanda, detentor do troféu, soma 14 títulos, secundado pelo 1º de Agosto com seis.
