ESCOLA RURAL CLAMA POR CONDIÇÕES DE IRRIGAÇÃO
Icolo e Bengo – A Escola Rural de Capacitação de Artes e Ofícios Cidadela Jovens de Sucesso Kalakala, no município do Icolo e Bengo, tem dificuldades de implementar as aulas de agricultura, em tempo de cacimbo, por falta de água, soube-se hoje.
Implantada num espaço de 10 hectares, a instituição alberga em regime de internato e forma jovens e adolescentes vulneráveis, gratuitamente, em agricultura, carpintaria, serralharia, electricidade e alvenaria.
Em entrevista à ANGOP, o director da escola, Manuel Augusto Sacato, fez saber que seria importante que o organismo de tutela consiguisse um sistema potente de captação de água, para tirar o líquido que dista a cerca de dois quilómetros do campo agrícola.
Esta escola, existente desde 2008, faz parte de um projecto do Ministério da Administração Pública Trabalho e Segurança Social e o Instituto Nacional de Formação Profissional, tendente a promover escolas rurais em todo o país.
O responsável revelou que, por falta de água em tempo seco, as aulas sobre a prática da agricultura têm sido deficitárias, pelo que augura ver solucionada essa situação, de modos produzirem tomate, cebola, batata, hortaliças, entre outras culturas.
“Gostaríamos de potenciar a agricultura para sermos autosuficientes ao ponto de termos excedentes para vender”, disse.
A instituição tem uma capacidade instalada de albergues para 120 internados mas está apenas com cerca de 90 porque os demais desistiram por incapacidade de adaptação e outros por doença, uma vez que o centro encontra-se isolado do ambiente urbano, na comunidade de Mazozo, cerca de 12 quilómetros da vila de Catete.
O responsável notou que para suprir a demanda do centro, em termos de consumíveis, seriam necessários cinco milhões de kwanzas por mês, ao contrário dos actuais dois milhões de que beneficiam.
Por outro lado, a via que liga a Estrada Nacional (EN230) à escola está em mau estado, para a qual solicita uma intervenção paliativa.
A instituição carece ainda de material didático e carteiras em número não revelado.
Os jovens, oriundos de várias províncias do país, beneficiam da formação académica e profissional de nível básico à custo zero e para serem aceites na instituição devem ser vulneráveis e idades entre 12 e 14 anos.
