O LIVRO “E NÃO MAIS NASCERAM CRIANÇAS COM FALCIFORMAÇÃO”, DE AUTORIA DO JORNALISTA KIM FREITAS (TIO KIM), CONTINUA DISPONÍVEL.
Segundo o autor, o livro é um conto ficcionado com cariz lúdico, pedagógico e técnico! É dirigido à toda a família, sobretudo aos adolescentes e aos jovens que pretendam constituir família nos próximos tempos.
O Livro teve o suporte técnico das médicas Madalena Fragoso, Zenilda Paula e Adis Cogle.
A obra “”E NÃO MAIS NASCERAM CRIANÇAS COM ANEMIA DE CÉLULAS FALCIFORMES” foi prefaciado pelo Doutor Luís Bernardino que estima que nasçam por ano em Angola, cerca de 12 mil crianças com Falciformação.
O livro trás um folheto da área de consultas do Hospital Pediátrico de Luanda “David Bernardino” que refere que ” a Anemia falciforme é muito comum em Angola e em grande parte de África. 1 em cada 5 angolanos tem os traços da Anemia Falciforme (são portadores assintomáticos : têm a hemoglobina “AS”. São do grupo “AS”, e 1 em cada 66 bebés que nasçam em Luanda, e provavelmente no resto de Angola, tem Anemia Falciforme (doente “SS”).
Kim Freitas, depois de nos ter apresentado os livros ” A Mensagem do Kaluanda-Piô na Prevenção do Paludismo” e ” A Mensagem do Kaluanda-Piô na Prevenção da Dor de dente”, oferece-nos agora , segundo o autor “UM ALERTA A PREVENÇÃO DA FALCIFORMAÇÃO” porque acha que a educação sanitária é um assunto de responsabilidade colectiva e porque há um grande desconhecimento sobre a doença de Falciformação no seio das famílias angolanas, embora a doença seja hereditária ou congénita!
Depois da apresentação do livro na União dos Escritores Angolanos, o autor e sua equipa vão desdobrar-se em palestras em hospitais, escolas e várias Províncias do país, estando já programado a ida a Huíla (Agosto) e Cuanza-Norte e Malanje (Setembro).
Kim Freitas é Jornalista cultural e para a infância a cerca 32 anos, é também produtor de discos infantis e também palestrante motivacional para crianças e jovens.
“Tio Kim” como é carinhosamente chamado, espera que o livro contribua para que a questão da Anemia Falciforme em Angola seja uma prioridade de resolução. Que os doentes sejam mais apoiados e que a sensibilização para todo o País seja um facto palpável !
