ARMY SQUAD PREPARA RETORNO AOS PALCOS
O grupo de Hip Hop, Army Squad, prepara um retorno aos palcos com um show intimista marcado para o próximo sábado, dia 24, em Luanda.
O evento, intitulado “Encontro de Gerações”, promete reunir diferentes épocas do Hip Hop angolano numa noite dedicada à celebração do estilo que conquistou muitos fãs no país.
Em entrevista ao JA Online, Sandocan, um dos membros fundadores do grupo, disse que a importância de unir as antigas e novas gerações do movimento nasce a partir de uma ideia de “celebrar um estilo musical muito apreciado, mas que ultimamente tem sofrido com divisões e discordâncias entre seus praticantes”.
Para si, o espectáculo será, igualmente, uma oportunidade única de reviver grandes momentos do Rap nacional, proporcionando aos fãs a oportunidade de verem novamente os cantores favoritos.
O “Encontro de Gerações” contará com nomes como TRX, Killa Hill, Lebasi, entre outros.
Questionado sobre a possibilidade de um grande show do Army Squad, Sandocan revelou, ainda, que o grupo tem o desejo de fazer algo de maior envergadura. No entanto, reconheceu que “a actual conjuntura económica do país tem dificultado a concretização desses planos”.
Fundado na década de 1990, o Army Squad rapidamente alcançou sucesso com o hit “Os Amigos”. Desde então o grupo lançou o álbum “Firme” em 2003 e, em 2017, uniu forças com os Kalibrados para criar o disco “Projecto X”, um marco na colaboração entre dois dos maiores nomes do Hip Hop angolano.
