Jô estava internado no Hospital Sírio Libanês, em São Paulo; causa da morte ainda não foi divulgada.
Morreu na madrugada desta sexta-feira (5), aos 84 anos, o escritor e humorista Jô Soares. Ele estava internado no Hospital Sírio-Libanês desde o final do mês passado, em São Paulo, segundo sua assessoria.
O enterro e velório de Jô serão reservados à família e amigos. Por conta da morte, foi decretado luto oficial por três dias na capital paulista.
O corpo do apresentador foi levado do hospital por volta de 10h45, e encaminhado para a cerimônia de despedida restrita.
O Sírio Libanês também informou que a causa da morte não será divulgada a pedido da família, que solicitou discrição, a pedido do próprio Jô.
“O paciente Jô Soares faleceu na data de hoje, 05 de agosto, às 2h20, no Sírio-Libanês. em São Paulo. Ele estava internado desde o dia 28 de julho no hospital, onde era acompanhado pelas equipes do corpo clínico da instituição”, escreveu a assessoria do humorista, em conjunto com o hospital.
